ILLUSION

This chakra is about seeing and uncovering old patterns.  In working with patterns, we often run into illusion, the demon of the chakra.  Our mind receives information through the five senses and accepts it as real, without questioning.   Illusion has been described as “a thing that is or is likely to be wrongly perceived or interpreted by the senses.”

Usually with illusion we get fixated on something from the past and aren’t able to see it for how it really is the present.  We create stories about how things are or should by.  Many times, these patterns are created in childhood when we are trying to protect ourselves and feel loved and safe.  We have 5 year old running our lives and we don’t even know it. We keep repeating this patterns so much that they seem real.  The more repeat them, the more they become beliefs and the more we manifest them in our lives.  It’s important to realize that these patterns are static and frozen in time.

Illusion stops our consciousness from seeing things with an open mind.  Anytime we are frozen, we are not in the flow of life, we are not living a creative life.  We are not in the present.  When we create from the present, we are able to live magical and dynamic lives.  Being stuck in illusion shuts down our ability to experience and create.
